Imaginez un samouraï en son ballet millimétré
Qui de son katana puissant moissonne et sculpte les cyprès.
Voltigent les copeaux
Des géants mis KO.
Mais surgissent de terre
Plus souples adversaires,
Cardamome et coriandre,
Qu’il taille sans attendre,
Émince, en sauce lie,
Et qu’il se concilie.
Art suprêmement martial, celui qui d’un même mouvement
Sépare et rassemble. C’est l’art du guerrier qui se rêve amant.

Imagine a Samurai’s ballet in closely measured detail
His Katana pruning and sculpting cypress trees along the trail.
The wood shavings fly around
Giants fall to the ground.
But from the depths of the earth
More agile adversaries set forth,
Cardamon and coriander,
Harvested in his meanders,
Chopped fine, then blended
And prepared as intended.
Supremely martial art, which with a single motion
Separates and unites. Warrior’s brew and lover’s potion.
